Teesside company wins Silver award in the Chauffeur Operator of the Year (11-30 vehicles) category of the UK’s only national awards for the taxi, chauffeur and private hire sector
A night to remember for Britain’s chauffeur and private hire industry
Auto Executive Corporate Travel has won a prestigious national award in the only national awards for the private hire and chauffeur industry. The company has won the Silver award in the Chauffeur Operator of the Year (11-30 vehicles) category of the 2016 Professional Driver QSi Awards.
Professional Driver magazine editor Mark Bursa said: “The north-east of England always seems to throw up at least one excellent QSi candidate – and this year the honour falls to Silver award winner, Teesside’s Auto Executive Corporate Travel.”
“This company has grown from just one car in 2006 to a luxury fleet of 28 cars, boosted by the takeover of a local rival. The fleet includes a diversification into an eco-car service this year with a new Toyota Prius joining the mainly Mercedes fleet. High levels of service and training are coupled with reasonable prices – as befits the tough business environment in which the company operates.”
Professional Driver magazine’s QSi Awards ceremony was a night to remember for the cream of Britain’s chauffeur and private hire operators. The awards, open to every chauffeur and private hire company in the UK, are designed to recognise operators and individuals that demonstrate excellent standards of Quality, Service and Innovation.
Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were presented in 10 categories at a thrilling event, held at the Effingham Park Hotel, near Gatwick Airport, hosted by TV motorsports presenter and racing driver Amanda Stretton.
The 10 categories mean there’s something for every size and type of operator, from one-man bands to large fleets. Categories also reward innovations in marketing, environmental performance and local community activities, while a special award – Professional Driver of the Year – singles out a chauffeur or private hire driver who is judged to be the best in the UK.
Mark Bursa said: “The chauffeur and private hire industry has weathered the worst of the economy over the past few years, while making giant leaps forward in quality and professionalism. Our QSi Awards are designed to reward that excellence, and bring the industry together for a night in a celebration of all that’s good about this business.”
Mark Bursa continued: “We were overwhelmed by the quality of the entries, and it was a very tough job to pick our winners. Only very good operators made the short list, so we can be sure our Gold, Silver and Bronze winners are among the very best operators in Britain.”
